Pulmonary Telemedicine Services
Our pulmonary telemedicine services provide access to board-certified pulmonologists from the comfort of your local clinic. This service is especially beneficial for complex pulmonary conditions such as asthma, COPD, emphysema, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules, and pulmonary hypertension. Key features include:
- Telehealth Appointments with Pulmonologists: Conducted by Frank Italiano, MD and Mohammad Khedr, MD, these sessions typically take place twice per month.
- In-room Support: A respiratory therapist conducts the physical examination and assists with communication between you and the specialist.
- We offer appointments with a pulmonologist through Telemedicine twice per month (usually falling on a Wednesday or Thursday). The pulmonologist is present at the appointment via a robot. A respiratory therapist will be in the room, perform a physical if needed, and communicate with the provider. The provider can then evaluate, diagnose and treat the patient.
A referral from your provider is required. Please note – not all insurances cover telemedicine services. Upon referral, coverage will be verified.
